2023 Hero Karizma XMR Review: Can It Outrun Suzuki Gixxer 250? IN PICS

The new Karizma XMR is launched at an introductory price of Rs 1.73 lakh (ex-showroom), and it rivals the likes of the Suzuki Gixxer SF 250, Bajaj Pulsar RS200, KTM RC200 and more.

Aesthetically, the 2023 Hero Karizma XMR looks sharp with its full fairing. The design does get elements inspired from the Xoom scooter and the HX-250R concept, which was showcased at the Auto Expo, long back.

The rear end gets an LED tail lamp with split-type grab rails and a slim rear fender. The exhaust muffler also gets a silver plate, accentuating the overall appeal.

Powering the Karizma XMR is a 210 cc, liquid-cooled, 4-valved DOHC engine that puts out a peak power output of 25.5 PS and 20.4 Nm of max torque. The engine is refined with hardly any vibrations, whatsoever. Moreover, it gets slipper clutch for the 6-speed gearbox.

With conventional telescopic forks on the front and a 6-step adjustable monoshock at the rear, the Karizma XMR boasts a slightly stiff setup for sharper handling. Furthermore, the braking performance is apt with dual-channel ABS.

The rider's triangle on the XMR is on the slightly aggressive side, but it felt comfortable, nonetheless. To offer wind protection for riders of all sizes, the Karizma XMR gets an adjustable windscreen.

The all-digital LCD instrument cluster on the Karizma XMR is full of information, and it does comes with Bluetooth connectivity and turn-by-turn navigation.
