Astrologer Pandit Jagannath Guruji shares how the 12 zodiac signs should follow rituals and offer bhog to Lord Krishna and celebrate the auspicious festival of Janmashtami and Dahi Handi 2024.

Aries (March 21–April 19): You can please Lord Krishna on Janmashtami by doing all of the rites according to tradition. However, it would be preferable if persons born under this sign could offer Misri and pomegranates. You can also decorate Lord Krishna's idol with a red cloth. 

Taurus (April 20–May 20): It is stated that Lord Krishna enjoys maakhan and fruits. Therefore, if you belong to this zodiac sign, you can appease Lord Krishna by offering him maakhan and fruits. When you serve him fruits, make sure they are white fruits like peeled litchis, bananas, etc. You might also serve coconut laddoos and other white desserts. 

Gemini (May 21–June 20): Mercury is the master of this zodiac sign, and the planet loves the colour green. As a result, those born under this sign should make offerings to Lord Krishna in green. Lord Krishna can be decorated with green robes, foliage, and peacock feathers. You can also give him green fruits. 

Cancer (June 21 – July 22): The Moon is thought to be the master of this zodiac sign. Because the moon signifies the colour white, those born under this sign should serve milk, butter, and banana. You can also decorate the god with white and silver colours. 

Leo (July 23–August 22): The Sun governs this zodiac sign. People born under this sign should thus present red foods, flowers, and textiles. You can also serve him sweetmeat made with apples, pomegranates, and other ingredients. You can also give Him ghee. 

Virgo (August 23–September 22): People born under this zodiac sign should provide green sacrifices to Lord Krishna. For example, you can provide green clothing, fruits, and so on. Aside from that, if you want to gift sweets to Bal Gopal, consider offering Peda to Him. 

Libra (September 23–October 22): On Janmashtami, people born under the sign of Libra should present Lord Krishna with white clothing and other offerings. For example, you may serve white sweets, curd, and ghee. These will assist you in pleasing Lord Krishna and obtaining His blessings. 

Scorpio (October 23–November 21): People born under this zodiac sign should wear red on this day. Aside from wearing red, you should also bring red fruits and flowers to the deity. You can offer apples, pomegranates, and watermelons. Additionally, you must gift the deity apple butter and misri. 

Sagittarius (November 22–December 21): People born under this zodiac sign should gift Lord Krishna yellow clothing and flowers. You can also present yellow sweets and Bhog, a revered sacrifice to Lord Krishna. You can also embellish his idols with sandalwood paste. 

Capricorn (December 22–January 19): People born under this sign should wear red and yellow clothing on this day. If you want to make an offering to Lord Krishna, you should include misri with the Bhog. 

Aquarius (January 20–February 18): If you want to honour Lord Krishna and seek his blessings on Janmashtami, you should offer him blue-coloured clothing. In addition, you must ensure that you present curd and Balushahi to Lord Krishna on this day. 

Pisces (February 19–March 20): Offering juicy fruits to Lord Krishna on Janmashtami will bring good fortune and peace into your life. You must wear yellow on this day and provide him with yellow treats such as laddoos. You can also provide juicy yellow fruits like mangoes, etc.
