Yogi Adityanath govt 2.0 takes charge, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister makes history - Pics

Yogi Aditanath became the first chief minister in over three and a half decades to return to power in the state after completing a full five-year term. Prime Minister Narendra Modi congratulated Uttar Pradesh chief minister Yogi Adityanath and his cabinet who were sworn into office in Lucknow on Friday. "Hearty congratulation to Yogi Adityanath and his cabinet for taking the oath. In the last 5 years, the journey of state development has achieved several milestones. Home Minister Amit Shah, Defence Minister Rajnath Singh, and several Union Ministers were present at the grand ceremony in Lucknow. Amit Shah also extended greetings to CM Yogi Adityanath and his ministers. 

The BJP won 255 seats in Uttar Pradesh with its allies in the state also registering impressive performance. The chief minister is expected to carry the momentum of the party's electoral victory to fulfill the poll promises and give a further push for the development of the state in his second term.
