One of the highlights of PM Modi's foreign visits in 2017 was his trip to the United States.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi visited a host of nations in 2017 from Russia to Germany to United Nations. He also attended the G20 and ASEAN summits. 

We bring to you PM Modi's international trips in 2017 and its key highlights.

PM Modi visited Sri Lanka on 11, 12 May 2017 where he joined Vesak Day celebrations. He held talks with President Maithripala Sirisena and PM Ranil Wickremesinghe on bilateral issues.

PM Modi visited Germany from 29-30th May, 2017 and held wide-ranging talks with Chancellor Angela Merkel. He also attended the 4th India-Germany intergovernmental consultations. PM Modi also paid a courtesy call on President Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

PM Modi visited Spain on 30th May, 2017 and held meeting with President Mariano Rajoy and discussed bilateral and other issues of mutual interest. The PM also met King Felipe VI of Spain.

Prime Minister visited Russia from June 1-2, 2017 for the 18th India-Russia Annual Summit in St. Petersburg. PM Modi and President Vladimir Putin held bilateral talks to further deepen cooperation in a host of sectors. Key pact on Kudankulam nuclear pact was inked during the visit.

PM Modi visited France on 2-3 June 2017. He held fruitful talks with President Emmanuel Macron and discussed issues of mutual interest with a view to further strengthen India-France strategic ties.

On 24 June 2017, PM Modi visited Portugal. He held talks with PM Antonio Costa on bilateral issues, especially on areas of economic cooperation, science and technology and people to people ties.

PM also interacted with the Indian Community in Portugal during the visit.

PM Modi visited the United States on 24-26 June 2017. He held talks with President Donald Trump on Indo-US relations and also met to American CEOs.

PM Modi visited the Netherlands on 27 June 2017. He met Dutch Prime Minister Mark Rutte and called on King Willem-Alexander and Queen Maxima. The PM also held a meeting with CEOs of major Dutch companies.

PM Modi paid a historic visit to Israel from 4-6 July, 2017, on the invitation of Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. It was the first ever visit by an Indian PM to Israel. He held wide-ranging talks with President Reuven Rivlin and Netanyahu.

In Israel, PM also visited Yad Vashem Memorial Museum to honour the memory of the victims of the holocaust and interacted with Indian diaspora in Tel Aviv.

On July 7-8, 2017, PM Modi attended the G-20 Summit in Hamburg, Germany. He also met several world leaders on the sidelines of the summit.

PM Modi attended the 9th BRICS Summit in Xiamen, China during September 3-5, 2017. He and other leaders of member countries deliberated on issues of regional cooperation and strongly condemned all forms of terrorism.

PM Modi visited Myanmar from September 5-7, 2017. This was his first bilateral visit to Myanmar. He met H Htin Kyaw, President of Myanmar. The PM also held wide-ranging discussions with State Councillor Aung San Suu Kyi on matters of regional cooperation.

PM Narendra Modi participated in the ASEAN-India and East Asia Summits in Manila from  November 12th to 14th, 2017. He also held bilateral meetings with President Duterte of Philippines and other ASEAN and East Asia Summit Leaders.
