Weather Update: Mumbai, Gujarat, Himachal Face Heavy Rains; IMD Predicts Heavy Monsoon Rains In These States

The IMD in its weather bulletin predicted a generally cloudy sky with light rain and thuder showers over Delhi from July 1 to July 4 while moderate rainfall with thundershowers is likely on July 5 and 6.

 

Light to moderate fairly widespread rainfall with isolated heavy rainfall is likely over Kokan & Goa and Ghat areas of Madhya Maharashtra during the next 5 days.

 

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecasted very heavy rainfall over the state of Tamil Nadu on July 3 and 4 and heavy rains over the state from July 2 to July 4.

 

The southern states of Kerala and Karnataka are likely to witness widespread rainfall during the next 5 days. According to IMD, very heavy rainfall is likely over Coastal Karnataka and Kerala on July 3 and 4. "Isolated heavy rainfall also likely over Karnataka & Kerala during next 5 days; South Interior Karnataka during July 2nd -4th July; Coastal Andhra Pradesh & Rayalaseema on 3rd & 4th July; Telangana on 4th July," stated IMD.

 

According to IMD, Sub-Himalayan West Bengal is likely to witness isolated heavy to very heavy rainfall during the next 5 days. Isolated heavy fall is likely over Gangetic West Bengal on July 3.  

According to the met department, light to moderate rainfall is very likely over the Northwest region of the country during the next 2 days. Isolated heavy rainfall is very likely over East UP and East Rajasthan on July 1 while Uttarakhand is likely to witness heavy falls on July 3 and July 4.

 

 

IMD in its weather bulletin forecasted slight to moderate rainfall with isolated heavy to very heavy falls over Assam, Meghalaya and Arunachal Pradesh during the next 5 days.
