Oshin Sharma is originally from Bharmour in Chamba district, but her family relocated to Dharamshala where her father was serving. She joined the Himachal Pradesh Administrative Service (HPAS or HAS) in January 2022. On April 25, 2021, Oshin married Vishal Nehriyan, who was then a BJP MLA from Dharamshala. However, she later accused Vishal of assault and torture. The couple has since legally separated.
Wanted To Become Journalist
In an interview, Oshin Sharma revealed that she did not initially aspire to join the civil services. Her original ambition was to become a journalist. However, her family encouraged her to pursue a career in civil services due to her strong academic performance. It was their dream for her to join the civil service.
Transferred For Dereliction Of Duty
The Himachal Pradesh government has transferred Oshin Sharma who was serving as the Tehsildar of Sandhol. Oshin has now been assigned no specific station and has been directed to report to the Department of Personnel in Shimla. According to reports, Oshin Sharma received a notice recently from the SDM of Dharampur regarding pending works. This notice was issued following a review by the DC of Mandi, who reportedly found her official performance unsatisfactory.
Unsatisfactory Performance
The DC of Mandi reportedly expressed dissatisfaction with Oshin Sharma's work, noting several errors that led to the issuance of the notice and a demand for a response from the officer. Oshin Sharma has declined to comment on the alleged reports related to her unsatisfactory work.
