In pics: All-women Air India pilot team that scripted history

On Monday (January 11, 2021), an all-women Air India pilot team created history when they landed at the Kempegowda International Airport in Bengaluru after flying over the North Pole on the world's longest air route from United States' San Francisco.

The team of Capt Zoya Agarwal, Capt Papagiri Thanmei, Capt Akanksha and Capt Shivani completed a landmark journey after covering a distance of about 16,000 kilometres.

Air India took to its official Twitter account and congratulated the team. They said, "Kudos for making Air India proud."

 

They also congratulated the passengers of AI176 for being part of the historic moment.
