Uttar Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and BJP leader Keshav Prasad Maurya lost from Sirathu seat of Kaushambi district.

 

Samajwadi Party's Dr Pallavi Patel won by 1,06,278 votes and 46.49% vote share. Maurya bagged 9,89,41 votes and a 43.28% vote share.

In Goa, former chief minister and Trinamool Congress (TMC) nominee Churchill Alemao lost the election from Benaulim to the AAP nominee.

 

Both Goa deputy chief ministers, Manohar Ajgaonkar and Chandrakant Kavlekar, also lost the poll contest to their Congress rivals.

 

Ajgaonkar was defeated by Leader of Opposition and Congress candidate Digambar Kamat, while Kavlekar lost to Altone D'Costa from Quepem.

Former Punjab chief minister Amarinder Singh lost from the Patiala Assembly constituency. Amarinder Singh stood at the second position garnering just 22,868 votes (28.21%). 

 

Ex-CMs Parkash Singh Badal and Rajinder Kaur Bhattal also lost the election from their respective pocket boroughs.
