Photo gallery: Paltan - Check out the characters of JP Dutta's war film

Produced and directed by JP Dutta, Paltan, a war-themed film will release on 7 September. The veteran filmmaker, who is best known for delivering a heart-warming film like Border, will retell another chapter of history on celluloid. The first look poster of the film was unveiled in March this year.

It showcased a glimpse of the Nathu La and Cho La military clashes of 1967 that took place along the Sikkim border. We can see images of the Indian and Chinese troops facing one another with rifles in their hands. The film has a number of stars on board and it has Jackie Shroff playing one of the central characters. 

Arjun Rampal plays one of the soldiers in the film.

Sonu Sood too is an integral part of the film.

Harshvardhan Rane makes his presence felt in the film.

The film will mark the debut of Luv Sinha, son of veteran actor - politician Shatrughan Sinha and brother of actress Sonakshi Sinha.

Gurmeet Choudhary too joins the cast of the film. He rose to fame after essaying Lord Rama in TV series Ramayan in 2008-2009.

Siddhant Kapoor, son of veteran actor Shakti Kapoor too plays an army officer in the film.
