Kangana Ranaut's BIG controversies - Love, Nepotism and Twitter war

Firebrand actress Kangana Ranaut never really minces her words. She has time and again courted controversies for speaking her mind. The first major one was her coming out in open about an alleged relationship with Hrithik Roshan. Her 'silly ex' tweet in 2016 sparked a debate online and soon counter allegations were made. Hrithik had filed a complaint alleging that someone impersonating him was emailing the actress from a bogus email id. Kangana had then claimed that the email id was provided to her by Hrithik Roshan himself and they had been communicating through the same email id till 2014. The emails were allegedly sent in 2013 and 2014.

She called the farmers protesting against Farm Laws as 'terrorists who are trying to divide the country'. In 2020, she said that she feared the Mumbai police more than the movie mafia and compared Mumbai to Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK). This led to a political maelstrom involving chief minister Uddhav Thackeray. Amidst this controversy, BMC-led demolition was carried out at Kangana’s production house in Mumbai for illegal construction. Later Bombay High Court ordered a stay on BMC’s move.

She alleged Sushant Singh Rajput was killed and that it was not a suicide. She made several claims on national television about Bollywood and drug parties.

Called Karan Johar a movie mafia on his show Koffee With Karan. She said he is the 'flag bearer of nepotism', sparking an insider vs outsider debate in the Hindi film industry.
