Happy Birthday Sunil Grover : From RJ to bagging role with SRK, five interesting facts about the ace comedian

Not many people know this, but the talented actor was first spotted by ace comedian Jaspal Bhatti. The late comedian had gone to Grover’s college in Chandigarh to conduct auditions. While he randomly appeared for the audition, Bhatti was well aware of his potential and selected him in one go.  

Do you remember the popular character Sudarshan aka Sud on Radio Mirchi? It was voiced by none other than Suni Grover. Yes, the comedian has worked as a radio jockey before venturing into acting.  

Sunil Grover has been a part of India’s first silent comedy show ‘Gutur Gu’ on Sab TV. The show ran for over 180 episodes with four seasons.  

While King Khan has no dearth of fans, Sunil Grover holds a special place in the superstar’s heart. While on the sets of ‘The Kapil Sharma Show’, SRK hugged Sunil Grover even when he was immersed in paint. He has also bagged a role in Atlee’s film starring Shah Rukh Khan which he said is a ‘dream come true’.  

The comedian always knew that he had the knack of acting, hence, he went ahead to pursue a master’s degree in Theatre from Punjab University. The actor was actively involved in local stage plays in his college days.
