Amitabh Bachchan birthday special: Sholay to Piku, 7 Big B films which every fan should watch!

The iconic classic Sholay is adored by viewers of all ages. Starring Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Jaya Bhaduri, Amjad Khan, Sanjeev Kumar, and Amitabh Bachchan, it was another hit from the 1970s. In order to capture the infamous dacoit Gabbar Singh, two crooks named Jai and Veeru are hired by a retired police officer.

One of Amitabh Bachchan's best works is the legendary movie 'Deewar, 'which will always be a favourite among viewers. The 1975 movie centres on the tale of two brothers who developed into opposite personalities as children, one a law-abiding citizen and the other a criminal. Their unconditional affection for their mother is the only thing they have in common.

A quirky comedy about a daughter's relationship with her ageing father, whose idiosyncrasies drive everyone crazy, Shoojit Sircar directed the film. Amitabh Bachchan, Deepika Padukone, and the late Irrfan Khan played the key roles in the movie.

One of the most groundbreaking films of the year was this one by renowned director Aniruddha Roy Chowdhury. The plot centres on three young women who are accused of committing a crime, and an ex-attorney (Amitabh Bachchan) offers to clear their reputations. Megastar portrayed the role of a lawyer with utmost conviction and was much appreciated by audience and critics.
