Aamir Khan celebrates 53rd birthday - In pics

Aamir Khan, one of Bollywood's most popular actors and filmmakers turned 53 on March 14, 2018.

The superstar, who has from a family of filmmakers cut his brithday cake in presence of media on Wednesday night. 

Aamir Khan was married to Reena Dutta. He has two children - son Junaid and daughter Ira from his first marriage. After legally separating from Reena, Aamir married Kiran Rao. The couple welcomed son Azad Rao Khan via surrogacy. 

Aamir is often referred to as Mr Perfectionist, because he gets into the skin of the characters he essays on screen like no one else.

 

Aamir began his acting career with Ketan Mehta's Holi in 1983. But the film failed to garner moviegoers' attention. He was relaunched in 1989 in Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak.

Aamir has become one of China's most loved international actors. His films - Dangal and Secret Superstar now find a mention on the list of the most popular non-Hollywood films in the country.
