The year 2020 would go down in history as one that saw the world come to a momentary standstill and bouncing back from the COVID-19 Pandemic. The auto sector across the globe bore the brunt of the COVID-19 Pandemic with several auto majors hating their production that resulted in zero sales growth figures back to back. However, the auto sector, like many other sectors bounced back with new launches, facelift versions and many more. Here's looking at major auto launches in India in 2020.

India’s largest car manufacturer Maruti Suzuki India did not have any major release this year. The company aunched Maruti Suzuki Celerio S-CNG variant, Maruti Suzuki 2020 S-Cross with powerful 1.5L K15B Engine and Maruti Suzuki Swift Limited Edition.

Renault India launched several vehicles in the country throughout the year. Major auto launches from the Renault stable included Renault Triber AMT, Renault KWID RXL variant, Renault Duster 1.3L Turbo Petrol engine and the Renault KWID 2020 NEOTECH edition.

South Korean Auto major Kia also had a slew of auto launches in the country. This included the Kia Seltos refreshed version,  Kia Sonet SUV and the Kia Seltos anniversary edition.

Among the luxury car manufacturers, BMW had quite a few remarkable launches in India. BMW cars included the BMW 3 Series Gran Turismo Shadow Edition,  BMW X3 M mid-size Sports Activity Vehicle,  All-new BMW X5 M Competition and BMW 2 Series Gran Coupé ‘Black Shadow’ edition. Mercedes-Benz GLS 2020 was launched while Audi launched the RS Q8.

Hyundai Elantra with BS-VI diesel engine and Hyundai i20 2020 were the prominent cars from Hyundai. Tata Nexon XM S variant with electric sunroof and Nissan Magnite SUV, MG Gloster premium SUV, Mahindra Thar 2020 were also one of the few anticipated launches this year.

Honda had a series of launches this year. This included the Honda City 2020, Honda Jazz 2020, Honda City 4th generation petrol variants, Honda CR-V Special Edition, Honda Amaze exclusive edition and Honda WR-V exclusive edition.

Toyota Urban Cruiser compact SUV and 2020 Toyota Innova Crysta facelift too were one of the most awaited launches.
