Tata- Air India merger

The deal will take the final shape by March 2024, post statutory approvals. Currently, Tata group hold a 51 per cent stake in Vistara, whereas the remaining 49 per cent stake is with Singapore Airlines. In a release, SIA said Vistara and Air India would be merged, and it would also be investing Rs 2,058.5 crore in Air India as part of the transaction. Also, Singapore Airlines has confirmed that it will fund the investment through its internal cash resources.

The Securities and Exchange Board of India (Sebi) has given HDFC Ltd. approval for the transfer of HDFC Property Ventures Limited (HPVL), a fully owned subsidiary, to HDFC Bank.

On April 4, HDFC Bank agreed to acquire the largest domestic mortgage lender in a deal valued at about USD 40 billion, creating a financial services titan in what has been called the largest transaction in India's corporate history.

Once the agreement is in place, existing HDFC shareholders will own 41 percent of the bank, making public shareholders the sole owners of HDFC Bank.

PVR-INOX Merger

Shareholders of multiplex chain business PVR approved the merger with rival Inox Leisure on October 11. A share swap amalgamation plan that will combine Inox and PVR was accepted by the boards of directors of PVR and Inox Leisure in March. PVR requested equity shareholders' approval for the Inox merger during a meeting on October 11. 99.9986 percent of the attendees at the meeting voted in favour of the merger, with just 0.0014 percent voting against it.

After its board authorised the acquisition of Blinkit for Rs 4,447 crore, Zomato announced the agreement in June. For Rs 61 crore, the auxiliary business was purchased.

Mindtree-LTI Merger

L&T Infotech (LTI) and Mindtree, two IT businesses, announced that their merger became official as a result of regulatory and shareholder clearances on November 14. According to the current market valuation, the combined business LTIMindtree is now India's fifth-largest provider of IT services.

As part of the merger, 73 shares of LTI will be granted to each shareholder of Mindtree for every 100 shares of Mindtree. L&T, the merging entity's parent business, will own 68.73 percent of it. November 24 has been set as the record date to identify Mindtree shareholders who are qualified to receive equity shares of LTI.
