Tesla Model 3 spied testing on Indian roads! Check pics, price and other details

Tesla was recently spied testing the Model 3 electric car ahead of the official launch. The car needs the approval of the Automotive Research of India or ARAI for compliances in India. 

 

According to Instagram handle @carcrazy.india, the car in a blue shade was reportedly spied testing on the roads of Pune with a red number plate.

In India, Tesla Model 3 is all set to take on other luxury car manufacturers. The upcoming car will majorly rival the Mercedes-Benz C-Class, BMW 3 Series, Jaguar XE and Audi A4, among others.

Tesla is yet to officially reveal the prices of the Tesla Model 3. However, media reports suggest that the car is likely to be launched at a price point of Rs 60 lakhs. However, the price is expected to go down once Tesla starts completely manufacturing the car in India.

Tesla Model 3 is the most affordable electric car made by the firm owned by Elon Musk. The car is retailing in three variants globally: Standard Range Plus (423 km range), Long Range (568 km) and Performance (506 km range). 

The Standard Range Plus can achieve a top speed of 225 kmph and can reach up to 100 kmph in 5.3 seconds. The Standard Range Plus and Performance variants have a top speed of 233 kmph and 260 233 kmph, respectively.
