SBI ATM Card Fee Hiked: Check How Much Money Is Being Deducted From Your Savings Bank Account Now?

SBI has revised the annual maintenance charges for several of its debit cards, effective from April 1, 2024, as per the bank's website. The new rates will apply to Classic, Silver, Global, and Contactless cards including platinum debit and business card, with fees starting from Rs. 200, plus 18 per cent GST. It means that the bank deducts the GST from the customer's savings bank account. So, Rs 200+18% of Rs 200 = Rs 200+Rs 36 = Rs 236.  

 

 

 

The annual maintenance fee for these cards has been increased to Rs. 200 (+GST) from the previous fee of Rs. 125 (+GST). It means that the bank deducts the GST from the customer's savings bank account. So, Rs 200+18% of Rs 200 = Rs 200+Rs 36 = Rs 236.  

 

For cards such as Yuva, Gold, Combo, and My Card (Image Card), the annual maintenance fee has risen to Rs. 250 (+GST) from Rs. 175 (+GST). However, the bank deducts the GST from the customer's savings bank account. So, Rs 250+18% of Rs 250 = Rs 250+Rs 45 = Rs 295.  

 

 

The annual maintenance fee for the Platinum Debit Card has been increased to Rs. 325 (+GST), up from Rs. 250 (+GST). However, the bank deducts the GST from the customer's savings bank account. So, Rs 325+18% of Rs 325 = Rs 325+Rs 58.5 = Rs 383.5.  

For SBI debit cards such as Pride Premium Business Debit Card, the annual maintenance charges are increased to Rs. 425/+ GST from Rs.350/ +GST.

 

The Platinum Business RuPay Card comes with an issuance fee of Rs. 350 (+GST). The new card which offers SBI Rewardz points on purchases, complimentary airport lounge access, and can be used for both online and international transactions.
