Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal Is The Second Richest Person in Gurugram; You'll Be Surprised to Know Who Is First

Zomato CEO and co-founder Deepinder Goyal is among the only 23 people living in Gurugram, Haryana who have a net worth of Rs 1,000 crore or more. However, the CEO of the food delivery giant is only the second richest person residing in the city despite having a whopping Rs 9,300 crore net worth. 

Now, users will be curious to know that who is the richest man in the city. It will be more surprising that the networth of the richest person in Gurugram is triple that of Zomato CEO Deepinder Goyal. 

As per the Hurun India Rich List 2024, Nirmal Kumar Minda, chairman and managing director of UNO Minda, is the richest man in Gurgaon. With a net worth of Rs 30,800 crore in 2024, his wealth is more than three times that of Goyal. This places Minda as the wealthiest person in Gurgaon and the 91st richest in India. 

Nirmal Kumar Mind and Deepinder Goyal have claimed the first and second spots on the list of the richest billionaires. Taking third place are Varun Alagh and his wife, Ghazal Alagh, founders of Honasa Consumer Ltd, based in Gurgaon. Their estimated net worth in 2024 is Rs 5,900 crore, primarily driven by their retail brand, Mamaearth.

In fourth place is Jyoti Bhatia, sister of IndiGo Airlines co-founder Rahul Bhatia, with a net worth of Rs 4,500 crore. Ravinder Kumar of Gawar Construction holds the fifth spot, with an estimated net worth of Rs 4,300 crore. 

Nirmal Kumar Minda, 66, is the billionaire chairman of UNO Minda, formerly known as Minda Industries. The automotive components company was originally founded by his father, Shadilal Minda, in 1958. 

Minda joined the family business in 1977 and eventually parted ways with his brother in the 1990s to expand his own ventures. Today, UNO Minda manufactures a wide range of automotive components for both cars and two-wheelers.

He is married to Suman Minda, who serves as the Chairperson of the Suman Nirmal Minda Foundation (SNMF), the corporate social responsibility arm of UNO Minda.
