Kia EV6 bookings to open in India on May 26; check design, cabin & more: IN PICS

Kia India will launch its first-ever electric car in India, the EV6 in June 2022, with bookings slated to open on May 26. 

The Kia EV6 will serve as the company's flagship vehicle sitting above the Carnival MPV, which is currently the most expensive Kia product in India. 

Kia, the South Korean automaker entered India in August 2019 with the launch of mid-size SUV Seltos, that went onto become the best-selling product for the brand in India. 

Kia India later launched the Carnival MPV as its second offering in the country, surprising everyone with the product placement. The Carnival is a premium MPV available in multiple seating arrangments. 

At 2020 Auto Expo, Kia showcased the Kia Sonet compact SUV, the company's smallest offering for the Indian market. Kia launched the Sonet in mid 2020, and like Seltos, the Sonet also captured a hige market share. 

Kia launched its fourth product in the country in the form of an affordable MPV called the Kia Carens. The Kia Carens is available in 6 and 7 seater configuration. 

Kia's latest offering for the Indian market will be the Kia EV6 electric car based on the company's first dedicated electric vehicle platform EGMP. 

Kia EV6 promises advanced ADAS safety technology along with best-in-class all-electric range (500+ WLTP cycle) and AWD system as well.
