How To Activate UAN To Access EPFO Online Services: Check Required Documents And Facilities
EPFO Online Services: The Employees' Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) introduced the Universal Account Number (UAN) on October 1, 2014. Each member is assigned a unique, permanent UAN, which can be used to access benefits throughout their entire service period.
What Is UAN?
Universal Account Number (UAN) is a unique 12-digit number assigned to every EPFO member, serving as a unified identifier for multiple EPF Member IDs allotted to an individual.
Facilities Via UAN On EPFO Portal
The platform enables members to update their name, date of birth, and gender, ensuring their records are accurate. Adding further, members have the ability to independently update their KYC details, facilitating a smooth transfer of PF accumulation from previous employment.
Aadhaar-based online claim submission further streamlines the process, while the option to enter the date of exit from service enhances convenience, allowing for hassle-free management of PF accounts.
Documents Required To Activate UAN
To activate the UAN, members must provide their UAN, Aadhaar number, name, and date of birth as per EPFO records. It is essential to have a valid mobile number linked to the Aadhaar as per UIDAI records.
