From IIT Roots To Tech Giant: Meet Indian-Origin Executive Who Is New Head of Microsoft Windows And Surface
Pavan Davuluri Microsoft: Pavan Davuluri, an alumnus of IIT Madras, has been named the new head of Microsoft Windows and Surface. He takes over from Panos Panay, who departed for Amazon last year.
Previously leading the Surface group, Davuluri will now oversee both the Windows and Surface divisions. This leadership change comes after Panos Panay's exit in September, which resulted in his responsibilities being divided between Davuluri and Mikhail Parakhin.

In 2021, he was appointed Corporate Vice President for Windows and Silicon & Systems Integration, focusing on optimising Windows for Arm-based devices.
Collaboration With Industry Leaders:
Davuluri spearheaded the development of Surface processors, partnering with Qualcomm and AMD, and contributed to projects like Bing, Edge, and Copilot.
