Sony teases next-gen PlayStation VR2 headset

Sony has confirmed that the company is introducing the next-gen virtual reality headset -- PlayStation VR2. The headset will be compatible with the PS5 and with the new VR2 Sense controllers. The headset will have a display resolution of 2000 x 2040 pixels per eye and a 110-degree field of view, according to a report by Endgadget.

BMW to turn car into cinema lounge

BMW Group has unveiled an in-car entertainment system - My Mode Theatre - for its future models at CES 2022. The German luxury car-maker said that My Mode Theatre can transform the back of the interior into a private cinema lounge with surround sound, The feature will get a 5G connectivity with a panorama display in 32:9 format. 

 

"We develop immersive, digital experiences for sheer driving pleasure. In Theatre Mode, the rear of the interior is transformed into a private cinema lounge," Frank Weber, Member of the Board of Management of BMW AG Development, said in a statement.

ASUS introduces foldable laptop-tablet hybrid

Consumer tech manufacturer ASUS has unveiled its first-ever foldable laptop-tablet hybrid called the ZenBook 17 Fold OLED at CES 2022. The device sports a massive 17-inch folding OLED display, IANS reported. 

 

The ASUS ZenBook 17 Fold OLED can be folded in half and become a 12.5-inch clamshell laptop using an on-screen keyboard. Customers can also attach an external, physical keyboard to the device to use it as a laptop. The device will come with a 12th-generation Alder Lake Intel Core i7-1250U processor and 16GB RAM.

Google announces 13 new tools

Tech giant Google has announced to launch at least 13 new software features in 2022. These features include AirPods-like fast switching to unlocking Chromebook via smartwatch.

 

"We’re continuing our work with partners to further extend Fast Pair`s functionality beyond audio connectivity with wearables, headphones, speakers and cars and extending it to TVs and smart home devices, so you can instantly start using all the devices in your life,” said Erik Kay, VP of Multi-Device Experiences at Google.
