Apple iPhone 13, iPhone SE 2022 surpasses Samsung and Xiaomi to become the best selling smartphones

The Redmi Note 11 LTE maintained its position in the top 10 despite flat sales in April, contributing 11% of Xiaomi's overall sales. The region is emerging as one of Xiaomi's primary growth drivers, with a quarter of all Note 11 LTEs having been sold there in April. The company has been having supply problems, and overall sales are down about 25% from April 2021.

The best-selling smartphone with a wholesale price under $100 was the entry-level Galaxy A03 Core, which took the eighth spot. Nearly two-thirds of its sales in April came from CALA.

Samsung was able to gain another three positions with the aid of its Galaxy A-series products, which were offered at various price points and catered to various clients. The recently released Galaxy A13 appears to be continuing the popularity of the Galaxy A12 series from the previous year. Together, LATAM and India account for more than half of its sales. Among the smartphones on the list, it had the largest MoM growth.

Samsung got four positions on the list, with its most recent flagship, the Galaxy S22 Ultra, taking the fifth overall position. After a two-year hiatus, the Galaxy Note series successor is now the preferred smartphone for owners of the original Galaxy Note models.

With higher sales in India and Japan, the iPhone 12 took fourth place. The only model on the list that was on the best-sellers list in April 2021 is that one.

Triple-digit MoM growth enabled the recently released iPhone SE 2022 to reach the top 10. In Japan, where it led the sales charts for April and accounted for 18% of the country's smartphone market share, the model has performed exceptionally well. However, it is performing worse in the USA.

Three of Apple's newest iPhone 13 models took the top three positions, demonstrating the company's continued success. Unlike its predecessor, the non-Pro iPhone 13 model has held a lead each month since its release and outperformed the Pro models in terms of sales in the majority of major markets.
