New Delhi: The information security firm SISA is likely to submit its forensic audit report on the debit card data breach, involving 19 banks, to the Reserve Bank of India on Monday ie. October 31.

The RBI had assigned the Banguluru-based firm to conduct the audit and assess the event- how and where the hacking of the debit card data of around 30 lakh debit card holders took place. The police even claim that the number of debit cards affected or compromised could be as high at 60 lakh.

It is suspected that the Hitachi ATMs deployed by many white-label ATM players and Yes Bank were impacted by the malware that led to hacking of bank accounts.

Several banks, recalled a number of card and reissued, and asked customers to change PIN (personal identification number) before use.
