Virat Kohli’s wedding attire: Nakuul Mehta makes a funny comment

Mumbai: Actor Nakuul Mehta took to Twitter a couple of days back to post a funny comment indirectly referring to Virat Kohli’s wedding attire designed by Sabyasachi Mukherjee.

The star cricketer wore a Sabya creation on the day of his wedding and looked dapper as he exchanged matrimonial vows with his ladylove Anushka Sharma on December 11 during a hush-hush ceremony in Tuscany, Italy.

However, what grabbed Nakuul’s attention is that Virat, who is the brand ambassador of Manyavar (an Indian ethic clothing for men brand), opted for Sabyasachi’s creation!

Nakuul displayed his wit by posting: “Promise to NOT wear a Sabya on my wedding/birth day if you were to sign me as your brand ambassador @Manyavar_ ;-) (sic).”

Interestingly, Virat and Anushka featured in a TVC for Manyavar just a few weeks back. The duo played a couple that redefined its marital vows and they looked dayum cute together. They shared magical chemistry and looked incredibly gorgeous together.

For the uninitiated, Virat wore an ivory raw silk sherwani hand-embroidered in a vintage Benarasi pattern and signature House buttons with an old Rose silk Kota safa (traditional headgear). The attire was accessorised by Sabyasachi.

Soon after the hush-hush wedding, Virushka flew to a snowy destination for their wedding. Anushka took to her Facebook page to share an image from their honeymoon. Then the couple returned to India to host a reception for relatives in Delhi on December 11. The gala event was also attended by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who presented a red rose both to the bride and the groom. The couple hosted another reception in Mumbai for cricketers and film industry friends on December 26.

And now the couple has flown to South Africa to ring in the New Year. Virat will be leading the team as India’s tours South Africa to play 3 Test matches, 6 One Day Internationals and 3 T20s.
