'Umrao Jaan' Rekha meets 'Begum Jaan' Vidya Balan!

New Delhi: Vidya Balan has carved a niche for herself in the Hindi film industry. The class actress is known for portraying powerful characters brilliantly on-screen. 'The Dirty Picture' star is ready to entice the audiences one more time in a menacing avatar in and as 'Begum Jaan' this time.

Vidya took to Twitter and shared an amazing picture where she can be seen posing with the legendary Rekha. She captioned the image aptly as: “Umrao Jaan aur Begum Jaan”. Well, Rekha is still remembered as the ageless and timeless 'Umrao Jaan' she played years back.

'Begum Jaan' happens to be the Hindi remake version of the highly acclaimed Bengali film 'Rajkahini' starring actress Rituparna Sengupta. The film has been written and directed by the National award winning director Srijit Mukherji. The film is set to open in theatres on April 14, 2017.
