Similarly, actress Sonam Kapoor recently revealed that she was molested at a younger age.
Shocking, isn't it? According to BollywoodLife.com, during Rajeev Masand's 'The Bollywood Roundtable 2016 interview’ the 'Neerja' star made this confession. Also, present at the same show were B-Town beauties Alia Bhatt, Anushka Sharma, Vidya Balan and Radhika Apte.
The promo of the show is released and Sonam's revelation has created quite a stir. She said, “I know I have been molested when I was younger. It was traumatising.” Adding on, Anushka said, her mother used to ask her whether anyone touched her inappropriately. “My mother used to keep asking me really strange questions when I was a kid, like ‘were you touched inappropriately in any way’ and I used to think something is wrong with my mother ‘cos I was a kid and I don’t know why she was asking that to me,” she has been quoted as saying.
After hearing these brave women speak openly about their dreadful experiences—all we can say is that it is high time such important issues be raised and dealt with utmost priority.
