NEW DELHI: Popular TV actress Shweta Tiwari is one of the renowned names of the industry and has always been known for straight-forwardness.

Her daughter Palak, who has recently entered into the showbiz has been receiving mixed reaction from the audience.

While some appreciate her for her looks and call her a ‘style icon’, others were seen making harsh comments over her appearance and weight on social media.

Well, nothing bothers mom Shweta as in her recent interview with Bollywood Bubble, she expressed her view on skinny-shaming that her daughter goes through.

Clarifying her stance, she said, “Abhi bhi log bolte hain 'ye kitni sukdi hai' but I never say anything to her. That's how you are, and you look pretty. You are healthy, you can run, your vitals are good. So, as long as she is healthy, she is good, I don't care what kind of body she has. These days, Instagram is enough to troll people. They used words like skinny and malnourished and what not. I don't care."

Although she also admitted that such harsh comments do affect Palak at times and she asks, 'Am I really that thin?' and I say no. I tell her, 'For your age, this is ok. As you grow older, your body will change'."

For the unversed, Palak Tiwari has recently garnered a lot of appreciation for her music video with Harrdy Sandhu for the song Bijlee Bijlee.

Palak is all set to make Bollywood debut with Vishal Mishra's film Rosie: The Saffron Chapter. The film also also stars Vivek Oberoi in pivotal role.
