Salman Khan, his sisters break down after sentencing in blackbuck poaching case

New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan has been convicted in the 1998 blackbuck poaching case by a session's court in Jodhpur. The actor has been sentenced to 5 years in jail which means it's going to be a tough time for Bollywood. But other B-Town stars namely Saif Ali Khan, Tabu, Neelam and Sonali Bendre have been acquitted in the case.
Reportedly, the actor was in tears when the judge announced his 5-year jail term. The actor's sisters, Arpita Khan Sharma and Alvira were constantly by his side when the judgement was announced. The sisters broke down when he was convicted in the case.
Salman and his sisters got extremely emotional and hugged each other for a long time, reportedly. Also, just when the verdict was announced, his sister Alvira gave an anti-depressant medicine to the star, reportedly. The actor has a strong bond with his family members who have been with him through thick and thin.
The actor has been sentenced to five years in jail and fined Rs 10,000. He will not be able to apply for bail in the same sessions court.
Meanwhile, preparations are underway to take the actor to Jodhpur Central jail, Mahipal Bishnoi, the prosecution counsel said. Salman has been taken into custody.
