Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone all set to ring in New Year in Maldives? Ranveer and Deepika in a still from Goliyon Ki Raasleela - Ram Leela.

Mumbai: One of Bollywood’s most happening couples – Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone – is all set to head for Maldives to ring in the New Year, latest buzz suggests.

The two, who have never really admitted to being in a relationship, have however, expressed admiration for each other a number of times. And their PDA speaks volumes about their off-screen equation. So it is almost confirmed that the two are very much in love.

Both Ranveer and Deepika have had extremely busy schedules in the recent past. Moreover, their upcoming film Padmavati, helmed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali has been in the eye of storm ever since it went on floors. And now, the film’s fate hangs on a tightrope as it hasn’t received a certificate for screening from the Central Board of Film Certification.

The Padmavati controversy must have certainly caused pain to the couple. And hence, to spend some time together and make the most of the festive season, DeepVeer (the way they are popular as a couple among fans) will be taking off to a distant destination away from the crowd and paparazzi.

According to a report in peepingmoon.com, DeepVeer will be celebrating New Year at a resort with a private beach in Maldives.

Deepika and Ranveer look gorgeous as a couple both on and off the screen. They set the silverscreen ablaze as the Indian version of Juliet and Romeo in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Goliyon Ki Raasleela – Ram Leela in 2013. Since then, the two have been turning heads as a couple. After playing Leela and Ram, the duo made a splash on the silverscreen as Mastani and Bajirao in SLB’s Bajirao Mastani.

For the uninitiated, Ranveer played Deepika’s husband in Homi Adajania’s Finding Fanny in which he made a cameo appearance. So technically, Padmavati is their fourth film together but interestingly, they wouldn’t be sharing screen space.
