Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane supports Salman Khan, Twitter explodes

The actress's tweet garnered mixed reactions on the social media.

New Delhi: Superstar Salman Khan has been convicted in the 20-year-old blackbuck poaching case. The actor was sentenced to 5-year jail term by the Jodhpur sessions court on April 5, 2018. After the verdict came out, the superstar was taken directly to the Central Jail where he spent the night.

Meanwhile, as soon as the verdict was announced, social media was flooded with mixed reactions on Salman getting a 5-year-long jail term. Several celebrities too thronged Twitter and Instagram to extend their support to the film star. Not just from Bollywood but even in Pakistan, Salman's conviction shocked the celebrities.

Pakistani actress Mawra Hocane took to the micro-blogging site and backed the superstar and called him a 'good human being'. She wrote: “In a world with no “NO” human rights, a great human being is being punished for killing an animal umpteen years ago under animal rights. Bash me all you want, but there’s something completely wrong about it.. mind you such human beings are our saving grace! #SalmanKhanVerdict”

The actress's tweet garnered mixed reactions as some called her gesture a publicity stunt to gain a project while others backed her.
