Noted actress Charu Rohatgi no more, Parineeti Chopra extends condolences

New Delhi: One of the popular faces on Indian television and films Charu Rohatgi breathed her last this morning. Several reports suggest that the famous TV actress suffered a cardiac arrest on January 15 morning and passed away.

Charu Rohatgi was seen playing Parineeti Chopra's on-screen mother in Ishaqzaade. The lead actress took to her Twitter handle and extended her condolences to the family. She tweeted: “RIP Charu Rohatgi ma’am. You were the most loving mother in Ishaqzaade and an amazing woman to work with. May your family have the strength to cope with this loss. Will never forget you!!!

The noted actress was seen in films such as 1920 London, 15 Park Avenue, Second Marriage Dot Com and Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose: The Forgotten Hero to name a few. She also featured in a number of television shows such as Ladies Special, Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon, Pratigya and Uttaran.

Reportedly, her last rites will be performed today.
