Asim Riaz of 'Bigg Boss Season 13' fame, on Monday, condoled Punjabi rapper-singer turned politician Sidhu MooseWala's death by sharing an emotional social media post remembering the time he met him.

The 'Main Tera Hero' actor took to his Instagram handle and shared a post in remembrance of the late rapper-singer which featured Sidhu's picture.He captioned the post and wrote, "I remember when I was in Chandigarh you called me over for dinner, I came all the way to moosa pind just to see you and how proud I was to witness an artist like you. You made me listen songs from your album moosetape, we had conversations how tupac was so fearless, about his music and all the west and east coast conversations, we ate food from the same plate and you made me have missi Roti, we had a ball brother that nite and then later you told me after when I made you listen my built in pain track.. Punjab Leader of Opposition and Congress leader Partap Singh Bajwa said, "We are hoping for justice. We are having reports that Intelligence Bureau in its meeting with Punjab Police said that 3 people have most threat and Sidhu Moosewala was one of them. In spite of that... why did they withdraw his security."

White Alto recovered from Dharmkot, forensic team at spot

Police have recovered the white Alto car, the vehicle in which shooters of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala had fled, in the Dharmkot area of Moga District, sources said. The forensic team have reached the spot. Several number plates were also found inside the car.

A day after the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa, the Congress on Monday demanded a probe by a central agency such as the CBI or the NIA monitored by a high court judge. Congress spokesperson Shaktisinh Gohil demanded answers from the AAP government in Punjab, led by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann, on why the order downgrading Moosewala's security was made public on social media as a "publicity stunt" and on what grounds was his security downgraded.

Actor and comedian Sunil Grover mourns the death of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. He tweeted, "Shocked and sad to know about Sidhu Moose wala. Prayers. Almighty give strength to his family."

"The Last Ride", the latest track of Sidhu Moosewala who was shot dead by gangsters, of the singer will be carried out in his native village Moosa in Punjab's Mansa district on Tuesday, his family said. The song  was reportedly a tribute to rapper Tupac Shakur, who was shot dead in his car at the age of 25 in 1996. Sadly, Moosewala, whose real name was Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, 28, was shot dead while driving his vehicle in Mansa district on Sunday, a day after his security cover was withdrawn.

After much delay to get consent of his father, the postmortem of Moosewala was conducted by a five-member forensic team of doctors from Patiala and Faridkot medical colleges at the Civil Hospital in Mansa. He will be cremated on Tuesday. Hundreds of Moosewala's fans and followers gathered outside his palatial bungalow to pay tributes.

Officials told IANS the singer-turned-politician's wailing parents gave consent for the postmortem of their only child after Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann announced to set up a judicial commission under the sitting judge of Punjab and Haryana High Court to probe his killing.

Sidhu Moosewala murder: Russian assault rifle AN-94 used by assassins of Punjabi singer?

In the latest development in the murder of singer cum Punjab Congress leader Sidhu Singh Moosewala, the probe agencies have learnt that an AN-94 Russian assault rifle, an Avtomat Nikonova model of 1994, was used in his murder. Earlier, it was said that an AK-47 was used in the killing.

This has also raised questions about how these sophisticated weapons were supplied or are being supplied in Punjab. The neighbouring states which have also formed teams to help the Punjab police in the matter, are also looking at weapon smugglers to ascertain how the sophisticated weapons were brought in. The probe agencies are also checking whether these weapons were procured through cross border smuggling.

As per TOI reports, the Special Cell of Delhi Police on Monday questioned jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi in connection with Sidhu Moose Wala's murder case.

In a joint op with STF Punjab and Uttarakhand, Punjab Police detained six people from Dehradun’s Peliyon Police Chowki area in connection with Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder: Special Task Force sources told ANI.

Jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi's gang took the responsibility for Sidhu Mooswala's murder citing it to be a retaliation to the killing of Youth Akali Dal leader Vicky Middukhera, Punjab Director-General of Police VK Bhawra informed. Middukhera was shot dead by four people in Mohali in August last year. 

This is not the first murder, it's the 90th murder since they (AAP govt in Punjab) have come to power. Sidhu Moosewala's murder with 30 rounds is just a symbolic misgovernance which is going on in the state: Union Minister Meenakashi Lekhi 

Several Indian film celebrities such as Anil Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Ranveer Singh as well as Canadian rapper-singer Drake paid homage to popular Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, who was shot dead on Sunday by unidentified assailants in Punjab's Mansa district.

Anil Kapoor tweeted, "Extremely shocking and sad news? such a talented young life tragically ended too soon?sending my heart felt prayers to the family."

Sanjay Dutt said he was 'shocked & devasted' to hear about the singer's demise. "A great talent gone too soon. May Waheguru give his family and loved ones strength in this tragic time. Rest in peace!" he wrote on the microblogging site.

Calling Moosewala a talented artiste, Punjabi superstar Diljit Dosanjh said he was heartbroken by the singer's death. "Heartbreaking news.. He was a talented boy. I never met him but his hard work spoke a lot. No doubt. It's very hard for parents... A bad day for the music industry," the actor-singer wrote in Romanised Punjabi.

Popular Punjabi singer Parmish Verma and actor-singer Gippy Grewal also paid tribute to Moosewala on social media.

Canadian rapper and songwriter Drake has condoled the death of Punjabi musician turned politician Sidhu Moosewala with a tribute on social media. Drake took to his Instagram handle on Monday and shared a story in remembrance of the late rapper-singer. It featured a throwback picture of Moose Wala with his mother along with the caption, "RIP MOOSE @sidhu moosewala."

Drake had been among the several million followers that Moosewala had on Instagram.

Punjab CM Bhagwant Mann announced setting up a judicial commission headed by a sitting high court judge to probe the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala. This came after Moosewala's father Balkaur Singh urged Mann to order a probe by a sitting high court judge into the killing of his son. He also demanded the Punjab government involves the CBI and the NIA in the inquiry.

Facing criticism, Punjab Director General of Police VK Bhawra clarified his statement and said he has never affiliated slain singer Sidhu Moosewala with gangsters. Pertinently, Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann has sought a clarification on a statement on Moosewala made by the DGP a day earlier during his press conference.

Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur demanded a high-level inquiry into the killing of Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala, and charged that the AAP government curtailed his security for getting 'fake appreciation' from the public. He also accused the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) government in Punjab of not taking any action against Khalistanis despite they raising pro-Khalistani slogans and waving Khalistani flags.

Punjab Police on Monday detained six people from Dehradun's Peliyon Police Chowki area in connection with Punjabi singer Sidhu Moosewala's murder, said STF sources. According to the sources, Uttarakhand STF and Punjab STF, in a joint operation with Dehradun Police, have detained six people who helped in the killing of Sidhu Moosewala by cordoning off the Shimla bypass Naya Gaon outpost.

Holding the AAP led Punjab government responsible and accountable for Sidhu Moosewala's murder, Punjab BJP chief Ashwani Kumar Sharma met Governor Banwari Lal Purohit on Monday and demanded dismissal of the AAP government. Speaking to ANI after meeting the Governor, Ashwani Kumar Sharma highly criticized the Punjab government and held it responsible for Moosewala's murder. 

"Ever since this govt came to power, there`s lawlessness. The government isn`t being run by Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann. It`s a puppet of Arvind Kejriwal and Raghav Chadha who neither know Punjab nor its sensitivity. We demand that this government be dismissed," said the Punjab BJP chief.

According to Globalnews.ca, Sidhu had been scheduled to perform at the Pacific Coliseum in Vancouver in July as a part of his Back 2 Business Tour, one of four Canadian dates. However ticket sales for the Vancouver date were paused last week amid security concerns.

Moosewala was taken to a nearby hospital where he was declared dead. The civil surgeon at Mansa hospital said Moosewala was brought dead, while the two others were referred to another hospital for treatment.

According to police, it is learnt that an AK-47 assault rifle was also used in the crime as its shells were recovered from the crime scene.

Sidhu Moosewala was at the wheel of a Mahindra Thar SUV when the assailants, believed to be 10-12 in number, fired more than 20 rounds at point blank range at the singer and his two friends, who sustained grievous injuries. Moosewala was hit by seven-eight bullets.

In less than 24 hours after his security was curtailed by the government, singer-turned-actor-politician Moosewala was shot dead by gangsters close to his ancestral village in Mansa in Punjab in broad daylight on Sunday, police said.

A report by CTV News Channel says the 28-year-old attended Humber College as an international student and recorded many of his music videos in Toronto.

The killing of Punjabi rapper Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, widely known by his stage name Sidhu Moosewala with a huge fan base running into millions, especially among the Punjabi diaspora in countries including the UK and Canada, is a tragic loss for the Punjab community, say media reports in Canada.
