New Delhi: Famous TV and film actor Sidharth Shukla breathed his last on September 2, 2021. His untimely demise has left his family and fans grieving. Although initial reports suggest he died of a heart attack, the exact cause of his death is yet to be ascertained. He was 40.
Sidharth Shukla, who is survived by his mother and two sisters, was dead when he was taken to the Cooper Hospital in Juhu around 10.20 am, authorities at the hospital told PTI.
The hospital's Dr Jitten Bhavsar said Shukla -- who won Bigg Boss 13 in 2020 and joins the ranks of actors on the cusp of fame who went too early -- was declared dead by the principal medical officer when he was taken to the hospital around 10.20 am.

On the day of hsis funeral, Shehnaaz arrived at the crematorium with her brother. This was her first apppearance after the shocking news of Shukla's surfaced.
Before stepping out of the car, Shehnaaz was seen breaking down as her brother comforted her. She was then escorted inside the crematorium by her brother and police officials amid a crowd of journalists and videographers.
Television producer Nivedita Basu expressed her grief at the demise of actor Sidharth Shukla and talked about Sidharth as a person, meeting him in the gym, and also how she offered him work a few months before he passed away.
She said, "Sid and I used to go to the gym 'True Fitness' together almost 14 years back. He was a slightly short-tempered guy but super fun and softie when it came to a lot of things. Of course, being short-tempered can't be misunderstood as an aggressive person; rather he was less patient."
Rakhi Sawant posted an emotional video on Instagram from the car after leaving Sidharth Shukla's residence. She captioned the video, "Rip. I am very emotional this is really heartbreaking. Sid please come back mom is waiting for you... bhot huee chupa chupi ma bula rahi hai bhai aaja (enough of hiding, mother is calling you.)"
Former 'Bigg Boss 14' contestant Rakhi Sawant and actor Aly Goni have expressed their worry for late TV star Sidharth Shukla and his rumoured girlfriend Shehnaaz Gill. As per Mumbai police sources, it has been learnt that the opinion report on the post-mortem findings of actor Sidharth Shukla has been kept pending.
Meanwhile, the media outside Cooper Hospital as the ambulance arrives to take Sidharth Shukla's body home.
Initial report suggests 'no injury marks' on body, but a detailed report will be sought after chemical investigation, it has been learnt.
However, Sidharth Shukla's viscera samples have been sent for chemical analysis to get a clear picture of the cause behind his death, reportedly. According to sources, his histopathology study will be conducted and the cause of death will be clear only then.

"Once the certificate (of death) is given by the doctor, the police will issue the NOC (no objection certificate) to the relatives and then they can claim the body. However, it's the investigating officer who deals with the report of post mortem. It is confidential information between the doctors doing the autopsy and investigating officer," Dean Mohite told PTI later in the day.
The actor's body will be kept at the state government post mortem centre overnight and the post mortem report will be released on Friday.
