Mumbai: Karan Johar understands the flip side of being an active user on social media. Apart from enjoying an ocean of fan following, celebrities also end up dealing with trolls who don’t spare goofs up even a tad bit. The Bollywood producer-director received hilarious reactions to one of his tweets which was meant to introduce Parineeti Chopra as his leading lady in Kesari starring Akshay Kumar.

The head honcho of Dharma Productions took to Twitter Wednesday evening to announce Parineeti as Kesari’s female lead and while doing do, he posted Akshay’s look in the film for visual reference.

Little did he expect that this tweet of his would garner bizarre yet funny reactions!

On seeing an avalanche of reactions, Karan corrected the error and introduced his leading lady once again and this time with her photograph.

He posted: “Ok guys that was meant to be an image of #KESARI whilst announcing the lead actress of the film! Clearly Twitter is quick to Jump and attack! Apologies!!!!! This is to re announce the wonderfully talented @ParineetiChopra as lead cast of #KESARI (sic).”

Kesari is a film based on the Battle of Saragarhi. Akshay will essay Havaldar Ishar Singh, the military commander of 21 Sikh regiment, who on September 12, 1897, fought bravely against Afghani invaders in the war which eventually came to be known as the battle of Saragarhi.

The film directed by Anurag Singh has gone on floors but the makers are yet to announce the release date of the film.
