IFFI to honour Amitabh Bachchan with personality of the year award

New Delhi: Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has made an immense contribution to Hindi cinema and remains one of the most iconic stars, the country has ever produced. As a mark of honour, the International Film Festival Of India (IFFI) will present him with an award.

Big B will be honoured with 'personality of the year' award at IFFI, as per I&B Ministry sources, quotes PTI. The megastar is a face of many campaigns such as the Swachch Bharat Abhiyan and several other social drives which helps in creating awareness among people.

Bachchan senior is currently shooting for YRF's 'Thugs Of Hindostan' which stars Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif and Fatima Sana Shaikh in the lead besides Amitabh. The film is helmed by Dhoom 3 maker Vijay Krishna Acharya.
