New Delhi: The self-styled godman Swami Om is back to what he does best, create unnecessary controversies. Former 'Bigg Boss' contestant this time hogged the limelight over his distasteful comments about the recent landmark verdict of Supreme Court on Triple Talaq.
According to Pinkvilla.com, Swami Om was present at the SC premises to stop Deepak Mishra from becoming the next Chief Justice of India and thats when he reportedly said that the verdict on Triple Talaq will result in jeopardy of men's freedom and that women will get more independence as compared to men.
After his controversial statement the crowd turned angry and attacked him reportedly so much so that the self-styled godman got beaten up by a few. Meanwhile, a few days back, Swami Om was arrested by a joint team of Lodhi Colony police station and Inter-State Cell of Crime Branch in a case filed by his brother who had accused the former Bigg Boss contestant of stealing bicycles along with some documents from his shop nine years ago.
