FIR against Rishi Kapoor for illegal tree-cutting

New Delhi: Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor has been booked reportedly for trimming a tree more than the permissable limit. According to Timesofindia.com, FIR has been filed against the actor for trimming a tree more than what was permitted and chopping off its branches, based on a BMC complaint.

The report mentions that besides Rishi Kapoor, the contractor too has been booked under. The report quotes the actor as saying, "I had taken all required permission to do so, which I have provided them to see. This is plain harassment from jealous neighbours which was expected."

Earlier, a show cause notice was issued by BMC to Kapoor for cutting the tree after taking permission to trim it.

The police will be investigating the matter, reportedly.
