Dilip Kumar admitted to hospital

Mumbai: Legendary actor Dilip Kumar has been admitted to Leelavati hospital here on Wednesday after he complained of swelling in his right leg.

His wife Saira Banu’s manager Murshid confirmed the news and said, “He has been hospitalised today (Wednesday) morning. He complained of swelling in his right leg.”

The Padma Vibhushan awardee is under observation.

Born as Mohammad Yusuf Khan, the veteran adopted Dilip Kumar as his screen name. ‘Qila’ a film that released in 1998 was the nonagenarian’s last film. Since then, the Dadasaheb Phalke Award winner has been away from the arc-lights.
