Deepika Padukone breaks down; Shah Rukh Khan wipes her tears – WATCH

Mumbai: Shah Rukh Khan is not called a gentleman for no reason. The superstar of Bollywood knows how to make women around him comfortable. He is also a very protective of his co-stars and takes care of them as a guardian. He proved this by comforting an emotional Deepika Padukone who broke down during an interaction with him.

Here’s what happened:

During a special programme Baatein With Baadshah, Shah Rukh read out a letter penned by Deepika’s mother Ujjala Padukone. In the letter, senior Padukone had congratulated her daughter for her achievements in her professional life. She also wrote how proud she is of her daughter who knows how to manage both her personal and professional endeavours. This made Deepika teary eyed. Soon tears started rolling down her cheeks and that is when SRK decided to wipe them off her beautiful face.

For the uninitiated, SRK is Deepika’s first co-star. She was launched in SRK starrer Om Shanti Om by choreographer-turned-filmmaker Farah Khan in 2007. In the last 10 years, the beauty from Bengaluru has evolved not just as an actor but a person with a magnanimous heart.

She has worked with SRK in Rohit Shetty’s Chennai Express and Farah’s Happy New Year too. Deepika is a very dear friend of Shah Rukh and we can’t stop admiring her camaraderie with him.

Deepika is Badminton champion Prakash Padukone’s elder daughter. She has a sister named Anisha.

On the work front, Deepika is looking forward to her next – Padmavati – which is unfortunately in the eye of the storm.
