NSCN-IM terrorists attack IRB post in Manipur capital
Nearly 70 terrorists affiliated to the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) attacked the 7th Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) post in Imphal on Sunday.
Imphal: Nearly 70 terrorists affiliated to the Nationalist Socialist Council of Nagaland (NSCN) attacked the 7th Indian Reserve Battalion (IRB) post in Imphal on Sunday.
The attack was carried out at nearly 11 am today. The IRB post entailed both battalions of 7th IRB and 6th Manipur Rifles.
Although there were no report of any casualty on either side, the terrorists reportedly snatched heavy stock of ammunition from the security personnel before fleeing away from the spot.
The IRB post, which was attacked is located in Noney district of Manipur.
Cadres of Manipur police rushed to the spot after the attack reported to assist security forces. However, the militant succeeded in escaping.
