Speaking at the Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC) earlier today, the Indian-origin CEO said: "As per the new plan (by Google), we will train two million Android developers in partnership with 30 universities. This will be done over the time period of next three years."
Narendra Modi, during his US visit in September, met Pichai at the Google headquarters in Mountain View, Santa Clara.

Pichai was born in Chennai in 1972. He went to IIT-Kharagpur for his B. Tech before going to Stanford University to pursue his M.S, and The Wharton School for his MBA.
During his last visit to India in September 2014, Pichai launched Android One.

The telecom wing of the Indian Railways, RailTel, recently signed an agreement with the subsidiary of Google India to provide Wi-Fi facilities at 400 stations across the country.
