London: Donald Trump, a Republican contender for US presidential elections, is leaving no stone unturned to infuriate UK nationals.
Trump has now alleged that more Muslims in Britain join the Islamic State terror group than the Kingdom's armed forces.
The remarks came as a petition demanding Trump be barred from entering the UK amassed 500,000 signatures.
The petition was started after Trump's highly controversial remarks made during campaign in the United States – he had said that Muslims be banned from entering the US.
As per the Daily Mail, the 69-year-old US Republican presidential candidate tweeted a link to a magazine article on Thursday that referenced the claim.
The article had quoted British MP Khalid Mahmood as saying last year that there were some 2,000 British jihadis.
And as per the British Ministry of Defence, there are around 600 British Muslims in the armed forces.
