Heartbreaking video: Dog traumatised by years of abuse only sits in corner of room and stares at wall

London: Years of sustained abuse can break anyone's soul, even of a harmless animal.

A heartbreaking video has emerged from the United Kingdom of a traumatised dog that will move anyone to tears.

The Daily Mail reports that the dog, which was rescued by Irish charity PAWS Animal Rescue, was so traumatised that it does nothing but sit in the corner of the room and stare at the wall.

The video shows the dog named Cara sitting in one corner of the room. The animal refuses to look at the charity workers despite being cajoled.

According to the charity, a vet who examined the dog said Cara was too terrified to turn around which was probably a result of years of sustained abuse.
