Hacker group replaces ISIS propaganda site with viagra advert

London: A hacker group affiliated to Anonymous has taken down an ISIS page and replaced it with a viagra advert as the ongoing ‘cyber war’ intensifies against the terror group.

Earleir, hacker group Anonymous had declared war against the ISIS following the deadly terror attack in Paris.

An ISIS propaganda group had created a site in an attempt to encourage extremists to join them but soon the site was hacked and it was replaced with an advert promoting Viagra and a ‘calm down’ message aimed at the extremists, the mirror.co.uk reported.

“Too much Isis. Enhance your calm. Too many people are into this ISIS-stuff. Please gaze upon this lovely ad so we can upgrade our infrastructure to give you Isis content you all so desperately crave,” the report quoted the message posted by Ghost Security Group, a counter-terrorism network affiliated to Anonymous, as saying.

The group said that they had members posing as would-be jihadists in order to bring down such sites. Quoting the group’s executive director, the report further said: “We’re playing more of an intelligence role.” The group has been sending data of such sites to the FBI and other agencies.

The Anonymous has claimed that they have taken down over 20,000 ISIS-related Twitter accounts, vowing to hunt down jihadists online.
