A whole 65 years after it was adopted as India's national emblem, Emperor Ashoka's iconic Sarnath lion capital, has found its way on the the gates of Rashtrapati Bhavan. The addition has been made at a spot that was made empty when the British crown was removed from the gates soon after Independence.
