New Delhi: The youngest rapist in Delhi's Nirbhaya gang-rape case has links with jihadists, it has emerged.
The convicted rapist, who is now 21 and hails from Uttar Pradesh's Badaun district, is reportedly in touch with radical Islamists.
Citing the Intelligence Bureau (IB), the MailOnline reported that the UP authorities have been advised to keep a close watch on his movements.
He had completed his three-year term in a reform home six months ago.
He was found guilty along with five others in the brutal attack on a 23-year-old woman, dubbed Nirbhaya, in a case that prompted nationwide revulsion.
“Recently some activity was noticed and we informed the local authorities,” the report said quoting an intelligence official.
Before his release in December 2015, the IB raised fears about his closeness to a Kashmiri inmate at the juvenile home, who was involved in the 2011 Delhi high court bombing.
