New Delhi: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) supremo Mayawati would make a comeback if elections were to be held in Uttar Pradesh today, an opinion poll suggested on Wednesday.

The opinion poll, conducted by ABP news, has predicted that the BSP is likely to grab 185 seats in the 403-member Assembly.

In 2012 Assembly polls, the BSP had got 80 seats.

This time, the poll suggests, the Samajwadi Party may win only 80 seats. The party had won 228 seats in 2012.

With 31 percent votes, BSP chief Mayawati has emerged as the most favoured candidate for the next Uttar Pradesh chief minister. SP's Akhilesh Yadav (30%) and BJP's Rajnath Singh (18%) followed the BSP leader.

However, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has emerged as the most popular leader in Uttar Pradesh, followed by Mayawaiti and Akhilesh Yadav.

Unemployment, inflation, corruption and poverty are listed to be the four most key election issues in the upcoming Assembly Elections in 2017.
