Tata Motors will launch its big pickup truck Tata Xenon Yodha in India tomorrow, i.e. on January 3 in Mumbai, the company recently announced in a release. It will be company’s first new launch this year.

New Delhi: Tata Motors will launch its big pickup truck Tata Xenon Yodha in India tomorrow, i.e. on January 3 in Mumbai, the company recently announced in a release. It will be company’s first new launch this year.

Brand ambassador and actor Akshay Kumar will be present at the launch. 

The Tata Xenon Yodha will mark an update to the current Tata Xenon XT pickup and a fresh entry into the growing Indian market of pickups. 

Not much is known about this model till now. Given the fact that Tata Motors will be introducing this model to succeed the Xenon XT, it will most likely come up with a new design. 

The exterior of Tata Xenon Yodha will likely feature restyled bumpers, revised grille, reshaped fog lamps and new design wheels.

Inside the pickup, changes may include new upholstery and trim, and fitment of an infotainment system. 

The Xenon Yodha may get a higher-end and better-built cabin with a possible infotainment system at the upper end of the variant range. 

Other possible features will include ABS as a standard and alloy wheels. Dual front airbags may also be added on a similar note in keeping with expected new regulations.

The upcoming Xenon Yodha is most likely to get its engine from the Tata Safari Storme instead of the Sumo, which is the 2.2-litre VARICOR engine delivering 147 bhp of power and 320 Nm of torque. 

The launch of the Tata Xenon Yodha tomorrow may also reveal some details regarding the Hexa.
