Public urination offenders alert! UK introduces its first 'anti-pee wall'!

London: If you are one of those who enjoys answering the 'call of nature' in public, this news is for you! Attempting to give a befitting reply to the people who don't give a second thought while urinating on the street, a London borough has introduced its first 'anti-pee wall'.

The action comes after it emerged that Hackney Council spends an incredible £100,000 a year cleaning urine off walls and pavements. This new move seeks to combat the growing menace of street urination.

This liquid-repelling wall coating will be used at two popular drinking locations in Shoreditch and Dalston, east London during the busy Christmas and New Year party season, Hackney Council said.

How will the anti-pee walls work?

According to the BBC, this liquid-repelling substance creates a near-invisible barrier of air over surfaces. So, anyone who pees on these walls will see their urine bounce off, covering their shoes and trousers. It also stops urine soaking into the wall reducing stains and smells.
